If an individual wants to be poly by having more than 2 boyfriends(or 2 girlfriends), his-her time for "each" relationship becomes increasingly reduced.
Suposing that a polygamous man has "7" wives, in theory he will only have time for each wife only one day PER WEEK....I dont doubt that such relationships existed, but a man or woman who aspires to be partners FOR A POLY PERSON should want more time for that relationship
And a bygamist can also share his-her time in a way that does not privilege 1 partner over the other partner, because an eventual "third" partner would mean that 2 partners will always get MORE TIME than 1 partner(to preserve fairness in each relation)
Finally, although monogamy may be against human nature, a person should be able to achieve satisfaction with a "second" partner, because if he-she doesnt, it's reasonable to believe that this person will never achieve this satisfaction with a third or a fourth, or a TENTH partner, which should disqualify this person as a "serious" candidate for POLYFIDELITY
Thoughts, please
