Apart from the employment posts, there are plenty of random Reddit users who ask questions related to politics or current events. Sometimes, these users may ask a good question related to political science and that affords a good discussion. I have noticed that in a few threads, there are belligerent users who do not take credence in any kind of rational argument or there are users who ask wild/unnecessary questions for this space.
Therefore, I am asking the moderators to provide for user flairs that may distinguish the “PS community” so to speak from the aforementioned users. Personally, it would also allow me to more easily identify users who offer quality questions and comments.
I quite enjoy the discussion threads on this subreddit, as it easily allows me to engage in some PS thinking outside of a classroom environment. It’s also very on-the-fly with less concentration required for an academic setting. I would absolutely enjoy it if there was more discussion posts on PS here, but I am concerned about contributing to lower-quality material being posted or commented.
Please let me know your thoughts below or if you have alternative ideas. As well, have a good day.
