There are several polls and Muslim community leaders describing how Biden is losing support among Muslim Americans and young people. The vote for "uncommitted" in Michigan likewise showed a significant threat of usual Democratic stalwarts staying home.
Yet, Biden and his team seem to think there are greater costs to giving Israel more pushback in cutting funding or joining votes against Israel in the UN.
What would these costs be if Biden moved to more substantive critiques of Israel, such as the actions above? Would Biden win more support overall?
First, Biden is pushing for a cease fire and nearly everyone agrees a two state solution is ideal.
Israel doesn't seem to agree and given Israel is part of the "two" in "two state," that would suggest it's not a realistic possibility.
You'll need to explain what you mean by that.
It's been pretty well laid out.
Every one of their neighboring countries is an ethnostate. Again you're going to need to explain what you mean and why only Israel should be held up as different.
I think you need to look up what an ethnostate is. It's not a state where the population predominates to one ethnic background, it's a state wherein power is held by one particular ethnic group and wherein the laws and structure of that country are in place to maintain that balance of power and disenfranchise anyone else.
Apartheid South Africa was an ethnostate. Israel is an ethnostate.
The laws of Israel explicitly spell this out.
I mean I don't care what Biden's actual position is, I care what he's actually doing and what he's actually doing is supplying weapons to a regime carrying out a genocide and providing diplomatic cover for it at the UN.
It really doesn't matter to me what Biden wants to be doing when what he actually is doing is participating in a genocide.
which gives them first world access to self-determination
Funny you should mention that, Israeli law explicitly states that self-determination is a right available only to Jewish citizens of Israel.
worship as they please
Except when Israel shuts down Al-Aqsa during Ramadan. Oh, Israel also doesn't allow interfaith marriages so not sure how that shakes out as "worship as they please."
enjoy their culture
Displaying the Palestinian flag is illegal in Israel.
be active members of the Israeli government
Non-Jewish Israelis currently have one party in the Knesset with five sets. The Knesset has 120 seats.
the fact that Israel says ultimately the state will remain loyal to Jewish identity doesn't hinder Arab Palestinian citizens of Israel in the slightest.
That's the founding plank of an ethnostate.

So nobody worth listening to is blaming Jews for this. This is an Israeli problem and there are plenty of Jews who are vocally opposed to Israel's colonialist project.
Furthermore, nobody denies that there were Jews present in the region. What people have issue with is building an ethnostate off the back of that fact.
