2000 sportsman 500 cooling fan

I have a 00 sportsman 500. Bought it as a bit of a basket case. It ran, but leaked fuel from the carb overflow when not running, cooling fan stayed on constant but it wasn’t overheating, plastics were replaced with ones from a 700. And lastly it has an aftermarket clutch in it, cause it easily pull the front wheels off the ground. But anyways the cooling fan stays on constant, found that the coolant temp sensor in the rad was bad. Replaced it and vacuum filled the cooling system. Fan still on constant but will go off for about 10-30secs if I smack the front of the radiator. Any ideas? And yes the rad is clean.
