So one of my family members just bought a RZR 1000 XP from a private seller. He had it (and used it a lot daily- for almost a month) until it stopped working. Initially it was stalling whenever he came to a stop- it was not the clutch. It started working normally for a few days, he washed it, parked it, and here we are. It turns over, but doesn’t spark. We have 12 volts to the coil and we just replaced the coil trying to fix it. Have been googling without much help. Planning to take it to a local service center; but their wait time is months so we are trying to resolve this on our own first. Does anyone have any suggestions? Have you dealt with this? Thank you for any advice and assistance!! Happy riding!
Check the brake pressure switch. I have a General and this was the problem. A $25 part fixed it.
This is the switch on the hydraulic line that measures pressure. If it's failed, it can prevent the machine from starting.
Here is a post about it that I read which pointed me to the problem. I may have exaggerated the price, but in any case it's less than a trip to the dealer and diagnostic fees: https://www.polarisgeneralforum.com/threads/wouldn’t-start.35448/
