Should I track a sports activity with my H10 like this or like that?

Hi! lets see who can solve this one.

I have a vantage v2 and h10 strap. I usually track all my workouts with my V2, without the strap. I will be playing a basketball game next week and want to track it as well, but I do not want to wear my watch as it can either hurt someone or get badly scratched.

So, I think of 2 methods and their pros and cons, and questions, to track with my H10:

1) pair my H10 with V2, start a workout on my V2 as usual but leave it on my bag on the sidelines.

I like this method because it gives me confidence that the recorded workout will influence my training load, but I am worried that H10 might lose connection with the V2.

2) track a workout with polar Beat. probably with the internal memory of the h10.

IF using the internal memory, I'm not worried about connection issues. But I am not sure if this tracking method will then also influence my training load that is shown on my watch after the game.

Help please :D
