Hey guys! I've been doing quite a bit of research on wearables but still feel doubtful on which one would be my best option. Im specifically interested in a product that can be basically like a coach, telling me when to push hard, when to rest, when to train lightly and ideally which type of training to do. I am a very disciplined person but virtually every time I do a new routine or anything, I do it exactly as it says, but the results are that I feel extremely tired all the time and my other aspects of life suffer. Or I overtrain and gotta go to physiotherapy or get sick or stuff like that. People tell me to listen to my body but I still don't understand the messages my body gives me and how to interpret them, so it's always confusing when choosing what exercise to do, how much of it and at what intensity so as to improve my fitness level but without overtraining.
I would love to have a product that can help me in my fitness journey, constantly improving my fitness and energy levels (increasing them) while avoiding overtraining and fatigue so that I can optimize my performance in my job and daily activities.
Ideally I don't want to spend more than $350, but I also don't want to spend that amount or less but have a product that does not do what I need. If needed, I would invest more on my choice. I've been very tempted to buy the Vantage M, but when I compare it to Vantage V's Recovery pro feature I wonder if Vantage M would still help me know how much to push it when doing exercise so as to not overtrain. I know it has the cardio load feature and nightly recharge, but does that factor in my daily stress from work or any other daily life sh*t that happens? because it happens to me more often than not, that I can get 8-9 hours of sleep but still wake up feeling fatigued. Would my vantage M know to a certain accurate degree if it would be better to rest, train, or train lightly? or does its calculations are very generic and as long as I sleep a lot, nightly recharge will assume that I am ready to push it hard even if I smashed my self in booze or stress on the day before?
Cardio load seems to only factor in the "load" my body got specifically from training. How will my polar product know what strain did my daily life -other than exercise- had in my body?
I've been breaking my head between polar vantage m, vantage v, garmin forerunner 245, whoop strap, and still doing more research but it feels endless now.
Forerunner 245 has "body battery". they say its sleep tracking is very bad, but does that matter if the body battery stats are kinda accurate? I understand that that watch would not tell me what exercise to do or how hard to push it, but if its body battery is accurate I guess I can just decide on how hard to push it based on that? still feels like its just a ton of data which I wont know how to interpret either. I honestly feel like I want the vantage m or v, but sometimes wonder if they will factor in my daily strain from daily life.
