Hi guys Since everyone seems to be waiting for feedbacks to the VV3 or for thei delivery, i thought i write some first impressions, since mine got delivered today. I have a little cold, so i just cover setup and Ui, not the sport features itself.
I won‘t post pictures yet, cause anyone wants to see something different - just comment what you wanna see and i just post a pic of it.
I had a VM2 before, so i just can compare to this.
So lets begin:
The watch feels very durable and of high quality. A little more than expected to be honest. I got the night black one and the weight and materials feels very good. Setup with the flow app is as every other polar watch.
The good things: - the display is real good, they did good work here - you can choos between 4 kinds of watch faces and customize them with widgets and colors. Not like apple, but better as M2 :) - you can set the display to always on - in the sport profiles you can set, that the display is always on for the chosen sport, and you have the option to save it for the specific sportprofile - the spo2 is very accurate (compared to apple watch) and works fine - attention, this has no medical background: i tested the ecg a few times. Very good visible heart-stream. And i think, even if they say it is not for medical use, you can get a good feeling if your heart beats as normal or if something is off. To be honest, if you read a little about 1-lead-ecg, you get a good overview how a „normal“ ecg should look like. I don‘t use it for medical purpose, but it just delivers the same quality as apple. Just without the „health“ hint. So this seems good. - touch screen works very smooth. - the harware buttons feel good. - the watch seems less bulky than M2. Even if the specs state something else. For example: i can fit it better unter my shirt. - the strap has premium quality. - the OHR on the back is flat, so there is no seep pressing on the skin. - flashlight is nice :) - sync with app is much faster - maps and komoots works nice - the vibration is much smoother, better quality (compare apple watch)

I noticed some downers, i just wanna share as well: - in „do not disturb“ mode, the screen goes totally off. Not like the MIP display. So you have to press buttons to see the time. I wish there would be a „no light but always on“ mode. - the watch makes signal noises when starting a training or a test. I didnt find a way to mute these. Let me know if you find a way. I will report to polar, because this needs to be solved. --> edit 11.12.2023: this issue is fixed with 1.2.5 - you can‘t wake the watch by tapping the screen. I wish there would be a option to choose. - the timer makes a noise from 5-1 (beep, beep, …) cant turn this off. Not a real problem, but i just want to mute them and they sound low quality (think nokia 3330 :)).
So hope this helps, and dont be shy from asking what you wanna know.
(And sorry for some of the bad descriptions, since i am no native english speaker/writer)
How it sits on hand? I have a small wrist and the specs say this is pretty big watch...
