Some questions about progression

Post Body

I’ve got some questions I’d like some answers to. I am primarily a casual F2P player who only records one sleep session per day. I average about 6 to 8 hrs of sleep per day, so I get 100 point’s sometimes but not all the time.

My questions pertain generally to progression:

  1. Is it more important to level something that has a stage 2 evolution over feeding Snorlax’s favourite berry? Like for example, leveling a Caterpie in general over trying to feed the weekly Snorlax’s favourite berry. I’ve read that higher evos gather more things at a faster rate, so I am wondering if the faster rate of gathering berries outweighs the 2x bonus from feeding Snorlax its favourite berries. I guess this question could also be worded as: is it more important to feed favourite berries, or have higher RP (because I assume RP translates to helping rate).
  2. I’ve just found out about research community, but how important is it to be constantly using berries to level Pokemon versus hoarding it for evolution? Will I have enough candy economy with 50 friends to freely use them to level Pokemon?
  3. How do the nature benefits work? For example, what are the benefits of energy recovery up versus speed of help? I think the bonuses are: speed of help, energy recovery, main skill chance, exp gains and ingredient finding.
  4. How does energy work? If I get 100 points, then I assume this translates to 100% energy recovery for helper Pokemons. At what rate does energy diminish, and how does nature affect this?
  5. I’ve read that exp gain bonuses from nature affect exp gain from candies as well - pokemon with an exp gain down nature gains less exp from overall sources including candies. Does this mean I shouldn’t invest in pokemon with exp down natures?
  6. In regards to faster progression, is it better to camp Greengrass Isle (non-fixed favourite berries), or Cyan Beach/Taupe Hollow (fixed favourite berries)? I haven’t unlocked the Tundra area yet, would require unlocking more sleep styles.
  7. Finally, this is more of a broad question - how do you decide which nature and skills are best for which pokemon? For example, an easy one might be pokemon with ingredient specialty having ingredient magnet main skill and ingredient finding or speed of help up nature I suppose. Are Pokemon with lv10 or lv25 gold skills an auto keep?
