Hello. Pardon me the upcoming rather wordy post. I find I tend to over explain myself sometimes. I hope my idea sounds intriguing enough garner interest.

A bit of a Bullet Point Pre-TLDR of my intentions for the game.:

• Custom Fakemon Regional Pokedex. I have some ideas already, but this part of the idea is in it's early stage, partly because I have been working on the story and partly so that anyone that assists with the project has things to do. One of the major intentions behind it is to avoid some of the more unnecessary "Usuals" of an average game's Pokedex, i.e. our "Early Area Bird Type Pokemon" will be something more akin to the Talonflame line as opposed to a more boring Normal/Flying.
• From that, the starters will be a standard Grass/Fire/Water Trio of Fakemon. As much as I want to avoid adding to the more boring Pokedex Tropes such as the early-game "Boring Normal Rodent and Normal/Flying Bird", I like that Trio style starting Set-Up. I have solid ideas for 2/3 of them so far, those being "Fire/Steel Sabertooth Tiger" and "Water/Ice Iceberg Horn Shark." I am leaning "Grass/Dark" for the third but a good concept escapes me right now.
• Mega Evolutions: Yes. Not only does it fit in with the theme of the story, two of the characters I have planned have Pokemon with pre-existing Mega Evolutions as their Signature Pokemon, going back to the pre-X and Y origin of this story and characters.
• Speaking of characters, one of the things that I want to have is Gym Leaders that are affiliated with the Evil Team, and more on that later. It's something I liked from the Pokémon Adventures manga, and it helps tie them a bit more into the story.
• Here for completion's sake, but new region. Of course it is with everything else, but I felt like I should mention it. It doesn't have a name yet. This is all being pulled from an old Pokemon RP I tried to run but died because reasons, and I may want to change things.
• Versions: I intend for this to be a 1 Version deal, so no Version Exclusives.
• A large part of the story, and even some of the Fakemon, are based off of things that I like, quite blatantly and apologetically. There are touches of anime-ness deeper than what Pokemon tends to touch, as well as some very heavy Kamen Rider influences. It's not like "you have to like the things I like to understand what's going on" it's just that I will let my likes and inspirations shine through.
• Maybe this goes without saying as well, but unless this sort of picks up really well I will not be working on it 24/7, and even then I still have a life outside of a Pokemon Fangame and the Internet. If you want to look into assisting me be warned that a mix of my ever-shifting attention span and the other things I do getting in the way of working on it in-the-moment. Note that one of my intentions in formally asking help like this is part of an attempt to move past that and finally get something productive done, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

Now, on to that Evil Team that's at the center of this story, Team Eclipse:

Every Evil Team needs a motivation. A reason that so many people dedicate themselves to a cause. Money, Eco-Terrorism, The Recreation of the World, or Beauty are some of the ones that have been seen before. Team Eclipse's goal, on the other hand, is Evolution.

The Pokemon around humanity Evolve all of the time, while humans simple grow old. Pokemon are capable of such amazing feats of strength and even controlling the elements. The solution to this disparity is for Humans to evolve too, by becoming one with Pokemon. Literally. The concept is similar to that of the Pokemon ReBURST manga that I have to admit I just found out about while working on this post, although the end result will look a bit less Ginjika and a bit more Kamen Rider and Super SentaiMonster Desgins. At least I hope. One of the things I am in need of is someone that can do good art and sprite art and I'm basically asking for someone to make more monstery Monster Designs.

That's the basic Story Hook. I have more in plan but I have a bad habit of spoiling things in excitement.

So,

What I can do: While I've not worked much before with RPG Maker or Ruby, I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and know how to program. I have also worked a lot in the past with Fire Emblem ROM hacking so I have experience with working maps and such, and this should be easier to deal with. I do not own RPG Maker XP yet but the Steam Fall sale is less than a week away and I can buy it then. I figured I should be honest about that, but at this point it's "I will more likely buy it if there is interest in this." Besides that there's the obvious Story and Idea aspect of it being my project.

What/Who I need: * Someone who can make custom sprites for Fakemon, Trainers, Transformed Team Eclipse members, and other things. My skills at spriting are only so-so and that's not with Custom Pokemon stuff. * Someone who can design Fakemon, Trainers, Transformed Team Eclipse members, and other things. I can't draw. It and my lack of good spriting skill have been the nail in the coffin on several of my project ideas in the past that I've attempted solo, hence me just asking for help so that does not happen. * Perhaps someone to be a sort of "Battle Adviser." Here's a secret: I hate the competitive Pokemon scene. It's basically the opposite of what I enjoy about Pokemon, but I realize that if this gets big enough that people will want to battle and they will want it spec'd for their notions of "fun" so I should at least try to have someone make sure that things aren't entirely broken for competitive play since I would have no idea how to balance it.

If any or all of these positions can be filled by some sort of combination-skilled person, that's better.
