trying to complete pokedex for first time

I've always loved pokemon, but after i caught the few legendaries after i beat the elite for i got out of it. got more into social stuff. but i realized i love challenging my mind, and pokemon is the funnest way do it. i really want the shiny charm but seems impossible. after reading everything there is to completing the dex, i'm ready to take on the challenge but i might need some help
