So I needed 20 pokeballs to catch a lvl 3 Rattata with its HP in the red area

I'm here just to share this event, I was baffled. And I gotta say, every pokemon I caught required me at least 5 balls. I think I'm a bit unlucky.
It has been a few years since I touched the gen IV games, but I remember pokemon being easier to catch, at least in Platinum
