Curious: Why is Greninja ex so expensive?

Just as the title suggests, I'm curious as to why the alt art Greninja from Twilight Masquerade is so expenisve! It started at 100 and instead of going down it shot up and is now at 250. Usually cards are sought after for playability, rarity, or the pokemon ect but afaik Greninja isn't super playable. So I'm just wondering why it shot up so much and if it'll stay that way or its just inflated right now.

TM has terrible pull rates. I don’t think it continue to skyrocket, but I don’t see it going down by much either.
