How did my card get a 10?

I was expecting a 8/7 with my card. It was kept Ina binder cause i didnt know better when i was a kid back in 2019 and the back was scratched and and a factory black print dot. Also it has a small dent in the right side in the back that i assume is from binder rings. yet it still got a 10. Is it because all that is considered surface and corners/surface are really good on the card and front centering?
