Some one tried stealing something from my skip
Post Body

This happened like 40 minuets ago, I saw a young boy around the age of 16/17 pacing out side of the front of my house like 4 times, on the 5th one he didn't come back so i went to investigate. I see him to the side of my house rummaging through my skip.

Prior to catching him, I was in the middle of an argument with someone and im stressed in general so instead of calmly asking him to leave or even questioning why he is stooping so low to go through a skip full of wet, broken rubbish. I decide to take some of my anger out on him.

As i approach him he holds out an old alarm clock that is worth nothing and does not work. I take the clock off of him and tell him its not his and that its broken, i smashed it on the floor to deter him coming back to which I think he got scared and left.

The boy was foreign and was dressed in quite old clothes and did not get angry towards me at all. After this happened and i walked back in my house, i had time to calm down and realise although he was stealing, i was the one in the wrong. The boy could have been going through a tough time and was trying to make ends meat.

I have a hard enough time trying to convince my self i am a good person and in the heat of the moment proved my self other wise. I feel terrible because of what happened and instead of feeling stressed and angry i am now full of guilt. I hope i see him again to apologise and have a conversation with him.
