So I had my kidneys hurt the other day, and immediately, it was like a movie warning thing. "System error in lower back, affected areas -Kidneys. Attempting repair, system increasing outflow of pain inhibitors, warning, side effect of swelling and bruising possible. Attempting to reduce side effects." Or when I cut myself "warning, system damage, you are bleeding. Reroute binding proteins to damage site, pain sensors active, deactivating and numbing, repairs underway."
I can kinda stop pain by focusing on where I hurt if not too bad, and just ignore whatever damage if I want, but the initial warning and processing drives me nuts. Takes about ten seconds, and I can boost myself if tired or worn out for 30 minutes to an hour, but after I hyperfocus and boost myself, I fall asleep from exhaustion, but during that time, things that normally take an hour seem to take 5 minutes, and I can get housework, cleaning, run vacuum, etc. All done in record time. During that time I just have my thoughts go faster and faster like a garbled mess and I lose focus of anything but what I need to do, but after that, my mind just sizes up and I go numb for a bit.
Eeh, well, maybe I'm just weird.
