choose to walk instead of catching the next bus
Post Body

So for context I have an invisible disability. I go to dialysis 3 days out of the week and the days I don't my day doesn't start until 2pm from a mix of medication and sheer exhaustion. So today my ma ask me to run a small errand for her it was convenient so it wasn't a problem. Not the problem, the problem was I woke up today as if someone stuck a knife in my left ass cheek.

Trying to problem solve I struggle to get up and try to stretch it out. All my joints popped like bubble wrap but the pain remains. Oh well what are ya gonna do? So I limp my way to the store, grab the thing for my ma and as luck would have it the was was coming soon so I hobble my way to the closet bus stop and get a ride to my ma's place. Ma is asleep, and the number 1 rule I learned as a kid is, "Unless you are actively dying or on fire. Do not wake ma." And as an adult I learned from arrested development "Always leave a note".

And that's exactly what I did. I left a sweet note for my ma to find and the vinegar on the table and headed out quietly. But as fate would have it both buses that would have taken me home rode right past as I left the house. Fine. I'll just hoof it back home, I guess. It's nice out so it wasn't so bad, maybe a block away from my mom's house I spot a dollar on the pavement. Hey look at that, exercise does have it's rewards I thought that was pretty cool and made the next 45 mins walking home that much more bareable.
