You are a Butterfly, Delicate and vibrant, Spreading your wings to catch the wind. Dancing and twirling with each breeze, I smile like I never have before, Mesmerized.
The colors you show are radiant, I am enchanted by your routine. All the while unaware that you are in distress, The Butterfly is injured, In places unseen.
This dance isn’t one of beauty like before, The Butterfly flies frantically and chaotic, But I am none the wiser, I just smile so happily.
By the time I realize how tortured you are, It’s too late, The Butterfly soars out of reach, Gone you are forever.
Soar my little Butterfly, The journey ahead won’t be easy, Be free, Be happy, Even if it’s without me.
