Everyone wanted her body, I wanted her mind, She was a dream in the dark, But I was the fool left behind.
They saw her curves, her skin, I saw her thoughts, her soul, But she was blinded by the green, And I was never her goal.
She wanted my pockets, I wanted her heart, We never spoke the same language, From the very start.
It was disgusting, the way they came, Chasing beauty, ignoring pain, She played her part, But I lost the game.
She wanted my money, But I wanted her more— Yet all I received was silence, And my worth was ignored.
