She spoke of wealth, of things to gain, While I spoke of love, and shared my pain. In different worlds, we drifted far, Her eyes on riches, mine on stars.
She built her dreams with golden thread, While I wove visions of what’s ahead. She counted coins, I counted days, While love for me was more than praise.
Her laughter echoed, hollow, bright, Chasing shadows in the night. I tried to show her worlds untold, But she was blinded by what’s sold.
She traded truth for fleeting grace, I searched for meaning, face to face. In separate lanes, we both became, Strangers in a distant game.
She wore the suit, the lawyer’s crown, Her world a court where none could drown. I offered hearts, she offered briefs, Both locked in battles, both deceived.
Now I watch her chase the glow, Of things that fade, and things that show. But I’m content, though worlds apart, I keep the love that fills my heart.
She fought her wars in law and words, While I sought peace that went unheard. In brief encounters, we became, A memory, lost in time’s cruel frame.
