both of us reaching
from opposite directions
wanting to see the stars
on a cloudless/
moonless night
wanting not to be lonely
but enjoying the solitude
that a one -ile hike/
a sleeping bag and tent
can provide
rustling of the small hours
and trees bending around us
there is a mix of camp spoke
and cannabis in your tresses
and a devil may be aware
in your synapses
and from there we start
looking to capture the night
like it was a firefly
