Part 3 of my poetic story with character dialog, conversation of the mind
Post Body

In the stillness of night, as shadows grow long, The man found himself haunted by memories strong. Flashbacks of old love, like echoes in his mind, Doubt and fear intertwined, leaving him blind.

In the depths of his soul, a shadow did rise, A demon of doubt, with sinister eyes. "You'll be betrayed again," it whispered with glee, "Your heart torn asunder, for all to see."

The man, plagued by doubt, faced the demon within, "I won't let you control me," he declared with chagrin. "I've found love anew, a light in the dark, And I won't let your lies tear us apart."

But the demon persisted, its voice filled with scorn, "Love is a lie, a rose with thorns. You'll be left alone, just like before, With nothing but darkness, forevermore."

The man trembled with fear, his resolve put to test, As the demon's words echoed, relentless, unrest. But deep in his heart, a flicker of hope, A love so pure, he couldn't elope.

"I won't listen to you," he cried out loud, "For love is worth fighting for, I'm proud. I'll face my fears head-on, with her by my side, Together we'll conquer, let love be our guide."

With each word he spoke, the demon grew weak, Its shadowy form trembling, unable to speak. For love's light shone bright, banishing the dark, As the man embraced hope, with a determined mark.

Though doubts still lingered, like whispers in the night, He held onto love, with all his might. For in her eyes, he saw his salvation, A beacon of hope in a world of temptation.

Their dialog continued, a battle of wills, As the man faced his demons, on distant hills. But with love as his shield, and courage as his sword, He knew he'd emerge victorious, by the grace of the Lord.

And so the story unfolds, with twists and with turns, As the man and his love, together they learn. That though shadows may haunt and demons may roam, True love will always find its way home.
