In the heart of a man, once bathed in love's glow, There dwelled a warmth that the world came to know. But fate, cruel fate, had a different plan, And love's sweet embrace turned to grains of sand.
Betrayed by a lover, his heart torn asunder, He closed the door to love, his spirit to plunder. No longer did laughter dance in his eyes, For love's bitter sting left him cold as ice.
With every passing day, his light grew dim, As bitterness and resentment crept in. He wandered alone, through shadows he roamed, A heart once ablaze, now turned to stone.
"I'll never love again," he whispered in despair, As he gazed upon love's wreckage, beyond repair. The walls he built around him stood tall and strong, Guarding his wounded heart from further wrong.
But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope, A woman appeared, with kindness to cope. Her eyes sparkled with warmth, her smile sincere, She approached him gently, dispelling his fear.
"Why do you hide behind walls so high?" She asked with compassion, not a hint of a lie. He scoffed and he sneered, his heart still in chains, But her words touched his soul, like soft summer rains.
With patience and grace, she chipped away, At the walls he had built, brick by brick, day by day. Slowly but surely, his heart began to thaw, As he dared to believe in love once more.
Their dialog whispered secrets of trust, And with each passing moment, he began to adjust. For she was the light that his darkness craved, A beacon of hope in a love once enslaved.
But as their story unfolds, on this journey they embark, A cliffhanger looms, casting shadows in the dark. Will love's sweet embrace triumph in the end? Or will the shadows of doubt their hearts still rend?
