The ground saturates
At first, absorbing the moisture
Then dampening
Crisp artic air
A sharp intake
Chilling to the core
An exhale, visable breath
But it's the gentle touch
Though frozen and cold
Refreshing when exposed to warmth
What is now frozen
Melts,
How beautiful
Yet how tragic
The gentle, softness of snow
Vanishes so quickly fading out of existence
Until it is cold enough to sustain
To keep
A frozen blanket covering the earth
And yet some hate it
But it remains
Until the Sun shines upon it
Revealing the sparkling purity
And it melts from the warmth
Because though the snow is frigid
It longs for the heat
To return to its original form
To become liquid once more
And drench the barren soil
So once more spring can arrive
And flourish all the more.
