Mother Nature: A poem I wrote for someone I love but can’t express it to

Post Body

Terrified That’s how I would describe it Engulfed in adoration But being cautious, so I don’t scare her away I am terrified.

Eyes as dark as space She lights up my nights with stars in her smile The wrinkles on her nose are glistening waves on calming water Her hair flows like the summer breeze Though terrified, she keeps me at ease She’s a work of art that I can’t replace.

“You find true beauty in nature.”

There’s nature in more than just her face.

Her heart is a forest of evergreens Pining to be admired It’s covered in debris from visitors expired I want to make her lush again I want to see her green Flowers blooming, sending bursts of color from her soul The dew shining on the grass.

She’s so beautiful.

I want to see her gleam.

Her thoughts can bring a thunderstorm that tears apart her branches But I’ve seen the sunshine radiate when her lovely spirit dances Birds will sing Then silence brings everything to a rest.

I haven’t seen the butterflies.

They’re still inside my chest.

She’s something special Something different I’m, still, so terrified.

She’s hypnotic There’s no one greater.

I think I’ll call her Mother Nature.
