Hey, I'm curious. Some people switch the region and get the update to Hyper OS2 while others do not - on exactly the same phone, from exactly the same country and having exactly the same OS version before the update shows up. For one person it appears, for another not. We're speaking of European OS with exactly the same version code, exactly the same language settings etc. One person switches the region - gets the update, another person - not at all. Two phones may be even next to each other in a household.
How does it work? Is it IMEI related? I mean - the same model, the same OS version, the same settings but what is different is a date of purchase and the actual IMEI. Some phones are older, were bought a couple of months ago, some are newer, already came with Hyper OS at its current version - so is it that those newer ones are not getting the update yet while the older ones do? Is it IMEI related, a batch no. from a production line with some different parts like I don't know: Chipset XASSX01 vs XASSX01a, updated with one capacitor switched and coming from a different phones batch?
Does anyone know how it works? I'm really curious, not that I particularly want the update, I usually sit on a previous version before the real reviews after half a year or so emerge and we know if bugs were already fixed etc. - but does anyone know how it actually works? Why people with exactly the same phone, from exactly the same country, with exactly the same current OS version get or do not get the update after switching to the same region? I'm making an observation from posts here and based on discussions on FB.
