Best Kayak spots near here?

Hey all! We've just moved here a couple months ago, and me and my wife are trying to find good kayak spots near here. We did the Portneuf today, but it's pretty low and lots of dragging, but it was nice.
Any suggestions for a single day trip? Thanks!
