Following my post from last week. I've determined that on my well setup, my tank bladder has a leak, my pressure switch is corroded, and all the old black iron pipe is corroded. I'm going to tear it all out and replace everything. I'm in the process of finding the depth of the well and the size/age of the pump from the prior owner. Would it be worth the trouble of pulling up the pump and replacing it while doing all this? We currently have a 1970s single wide on the property but are about to have a cabin built to replace the mobile home (pending housing market lol). The cabin will be of similar size & number of fixtures. Could I just go ahead and put a slightly bigger pump to be sure its enough for the new cabin but still use it on our mobile home until then? Last, what is a good brand of well pump to get? I want to do it right and for the long term.
