Alright Reddit plumbers tell this electrician what the hells going on with his toilet. So I installed a new toilet on a new toilet flange and it leaks between the floor and the bottom of the toilet. Seems to leak when not flushing as well.
-the toilet flange is sitting on top the the finished floor and secure and level -so far have tried 3 wax ring seals, a foam type ring seal and a reusable seal... still leaks at base -bought a new toilet (same style and make of toilet) -tried shimming the toilet to maybe help... nope... The toilet still leaks from the around the base even with the new toilet.
-did a dye test on the new toilet, never noticed any leaks -hired a plumber he did all the same shit I did and than left because he didn't know
Anyone got any thoughts? I'm tired of shitting on the lawn.
