Question about water pressure
Post Body

Alright, I'll put a TL;dr at the end if you don't want to get bored...

Bought my house a couple years ago, and water pressure has always sucked. I had a fancy massaging shower head at my last home, I brought it with me... nowhere near the required pressure to even attempt to work properly. Had water company come out and check at the meter to see how it was there, and there's pressure galore. House has a basement under it, so pipes are very easily accessible. 3/4" feed but as soon as the water comes into the house, it chokes down to 1/2". This 1/2" line feeds water to a water heater, 1 full bath, kitchen sink, and a washing machine. Water heater has 1/2" to 3/4" adapters on in and out. Would it help if I swapped everything to 3/4" and choked it down to 1/2" right before the faucets?

TL;dr - every pipe in the house is 1/2", water pressure sucks, should I make pipes 3/4 and choke down to 1/2" right at faucets?
