Water leaking from under handle of Moen kitchen faucet
Post Body

I have a moen ca87480 one handle kitchen faucet that has been leaking water from underneath the trim ring beneath the handle for quite a while. Only leaks when the faucet is turned on and flexing the faucet forward and back makes it worse. If the faucet is on and you are not touching it then it does not leak. Only when you are manipulating it. I replaced the 1255 cartridge and that seemed to fix it for a minute or two but now it’s leaking again. I tried tightening the nut that holds the cartridge in but still seems to leak. Any ideas?

Looks like I need Moen part 146789. I wonder if I should bother trying to find a generic replacement at a hardware store? Or just wait two days for the moen part from Amazon

I guess I have to pull it apart and figure out where the O-rings actually are? There are three little rubber seals on the bottom of the cartridge that seal against the housing and they are now new.
