I want to redo my plumbing. I live in a modular home from the '00s. I've done industrial work, brazed high pressure copper, installed high pressure coolant lines, PVC drainage, all that. Never have I touched residential. Can I get some books recommendations or general advice to help me avoid making stupid mistakes? Is PEX or copper better for long term, in an environment with multiple winter freezes? I live in a county that does not require permits to be pulled for this reno, as long as I don't move the septic system or drainage field lines.
