I have an on demand water heater currently. It’s great and no issues with it doing it’s job. The circulator if set to always on keeps a nice hot water to all our home faucets. The downfall is the cost to operate the device on propane.
I’ve been looking into the heat pump water heaters as a solution where I can use it to keep the water hot and cheaper then propane for always hot water in the loop. The on demand only needs to kick on when it’s needed.
Has anyone teamed up both on demand and heat pump for such a project before?
