No hot water to newly installed shower?
Post Body

Hi r/plumbing
We had our shower replaced two weeks ago, it was working great.
Last week the house was unoccupied but the boiler was running for central heating periodically.
I got back today and went to turn on the shower, got really low pressure and no hot water through, weird. Tested the bathroom sink next the to shower and got brown silty water through on the hot side for about a second before it started running clear again. Luckily I have access under the property so I can investigate the pipes running to all the fittings. I can feel that the hot pipe heading to the shower does feel warm, so my conclusion is that there might be a blockage in the shower valve itself. Does that hold any credence? Is there anything else I should check for?
