Re-piping PVC -> PEX pipes in 30yr house?
Post Body

Hi all!

Need some advice from the community - I live in a β€˜96-built house in Seattle. We recently had a small leak in the bathroom flush because of an old outdated fixture giving away but after getting that fixed and getting an inspector, no other major surprises.

A couple of our neighbors have had leakages from frozen pipes and in general too, and we’re wondering whether to get our house re-piped with PEX over the current PVC pipes which are 27 years old at this stage. Thoughts?
