Expansion tank location help

I need to install a 4.5 gallon expansion tank for my new 80 gallon water heater. Was wondering if it would be okay to put it at the red circle, hanging vertical just before the T that goes down to the water tank. It seems like it would habe good support here. The blue arrow after the T is to my outdoor water faucet. Any concers putting the expansion tank here?
