Need help with leaking P-trap
Post Body

Hello plumbers of Reddit, sorry in advance for not knowing all of the correct terminology but here it goes. I noticed my P trap leaking from both connections the other day so I went out and got a new one along with a male adapter. I am trying to install it at the moment and the connection on the left is no longer leaking but I can’t figure out how to fix the leak on the connection on the right side. It is leaking from the seam between the male adapter and the trap, as well as out of the top of the nut. I’m using plumber’s tape, I have re-tightened several times to ensure it’s not a cross threading issue, and I believe everything is the right size (1.5inch). Is there something I’m missing or doing wrong?
