I want to start off with- no I did not do this plumbing. I just bought this house in October & knew it would be a problem. It’s finally backed up into the basement sink. It’s so loose that it needs to be supported with my drill bit case.
The homeowner before me was a hack. And now I’m correcting all of their shortcuts.
Questions I have:
Is the vent under the kitchen sink necessary if there is one in the basement as well? Pictured below (yes I am increasing basement vent height)
Is an AAV a good option? I don’t think so… but I’ve read good and bad about them.
Please add any suggestions you may have. TIA!
