I don’t know much about spiral pipes but I can tell you with 100% certainty that a shark bite won’t seal anything that has a non uniform surface. So I’d say no, unless there’s about 1/2” of non spiraled pipe on the end. I’m not sure how you’d cap this pipe - that’s a great question. I’d guess you have to cut back to uniform piping and cap that

Kinda wacky you’ve got spiraled pipe coming from the wall. I am not a plumber, but I’ve done a ton of diy work so I’m no authority! Good luck! 800$ seems awfully high to me too- maybe bc they’ll have to cut all of the spiral pipe out so will recipe more than one typically would
