Post Body

So im setting up a raspberry pi as a plex server right now, and so im asking this ahead of time. I get my movies off of my windows laptop, and I have been putting them on a external USB hard drive and just watching them on a TV. How would I add files to the external hard drive since it would be plugged into the raspberry pi for storage? And, if there is a simple way I can just unplug the drive, plug it in my computer, and plug it back into the pi, how would I do it? Please give detailed instructions/guides because I dont have experience with command line stuff and linux.
