Hi guys! I’m having an Plex server for almost a year now. It’s running on my DS918 which I very like. I’ve got about 15/20 users and the most active users at the same time are around 6 or 7. I know all my users in person so I know the clients which they have, it’s almost everytime direct play. However.. The DS918 has four slots and right now I’m having them in this order; 1) 8TB (WD Red) 2) 12 TB (WD shuck) 3) 10 TB (WD shuck) 4) 256 GB SSD

Slot 1,2,3 are the media slots, slot 4 is the application and metadata slot. I’m curious if I’m losing “metadata” speed when I install Plex, Tautulli etc on slot 1? I need an extra 12TB for slot 4 but do my users experience slow tumbnails or anything when they search through the library? It’s a bit expensive to use slot 4 only for the Plex application.. Anyone same issues? Cheeeers!
