Post Body

Hi guys!

I've got some questions, maybe you can help me out!Right now i've got my entire Plex server on the Synology DS918 . I've got 3 HDD for the content and 1 SSD for the software (metadate etc.)I've got around 10-12 users and the peak is at 5/6 users at the sametime. For now, everything works fine, but i'm always think 'how can i get thinks better' I asume you all know what i mean?Meanwhile, i've got on old desktop in the basement with some pretty 'good' specs;NAS specs:CPU Intel Celeron J3455
Quad-Core 1.5GHZ
Memory 1x 4GB DDRL3

Desktop specs:
CPU Intel Core I7 2600 3.4GHZ
Memory 16GB DDR3
VIDEO HD 6970

1) The desktop is quit stronger for multiple transcode right?
2) Ive got a 1GBS LAN network speed is this enough?
3) Can i use the NAS as a network drive and the desktop as the transcode machine?
4) Is it all worth it?

Like to hear from you!
