Hi guys!
I've got a question, maybe a dumb question but who knows. I think the community can help me!
Right now i've got a Synology DS918 with a /- 14 TB collection and somewhere around 10-12 users.
Sometimes i see a spike in my CPU because of the many people / transcode.
I know everything about the settings etc and I also know that diffrent people have diffrent clients so i cant avoide 100% transcoding.

But i was thinking, is it possible to stack all my TB and collection on de DS918 and let the hard work; transcode, streaming etc etc. be processed by a home made server with a stronger CPU or GPU.
Or am i looking for something that isnt possible?
The Intel Celeron J3455 is a good processor for basic use. But i'm seeing my own community growing.
Any thoughts or tips?
Thanks!
