Are there more or less steps if I am moving the physical drive(s) to another machine?

I have my main PC which I currently run my Plex server off of. This weekend I am thinking of moving the drives to a server machine I recently acquired. Here is the official migration guide:

Since the physical storage will now be in the new machine, some steps could be omitted?
Has anyone done something similar and have any tips?
