Hey all, I am interested in using Plex to hold all my movies for use on my Xbox One and for my friends to use on the internet.

I have been researching a decent amount, but I am still trying to decide on what I want to host the media server on.

I currently have a gaming pc with a Ryzen 5 1600 and 16gb DDR4 ram, but I still plan to use this for other purposes besides as a media server.

Is it better to purchase a dedicated machine to run as the media server, or should I use my current hardware to save on costs? I can share my pc part list if needed.
