EDIT: SOLVED - the issue was indeed in the iOS app itself as I needed to select AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST QUALITY and BOOM everything works as it should!
Hey guys, let’s say I’m truly perPLEXed (sorry I just couldn’t resist 😂)…
Since I’ve migrated from my Synology DS1522 to a brand new Mac Mini M2, I’ve experienced anything but problems!
Now I’ve got down to “only two” that I really cannot make my mind around:
I can access my Plex server remotely via its own domain https://plex.awesomedomain.com:443/ which is forwarded by Synology reverse proxy and can play all sort of streams via web browser. HOWEVER, I CANNOT play anything via the Plex app itself. Meaning the app access the server and sees its content but when I try to launch a video (regardless quality) it basically hangs in “loading” forever. What’s interesting is that on dashboard I cannot see the client trying to stream anything. Also, there’s no problem streaming via the app if I’m local instead of remote.
When on Synology, PMS automatically generated collections based on the movies/series in the library (ie. the lord of the rings trilogy has been put automatically into a lot of the rings collection). Now that I installed PMS on MacOS I no longer have those collections and I’m supposed to manually create them from scratch?!? It cannot be!
I would be insanely grateful to whom may help me in getting out of this nonsense highlighting what is it that I’m doing wrong/missing here. In exchange I will send you all my super positive vibes 😇
Cheers,
SillyDev
