I am looking to upgrade my server to handle 4K transcodes. Plex website lists an i7 3ghz for single transcode. It just says for more than 1 transcode, will require a better cpu- but it doesn’t list any suggestions. I am looking for a budget friendly way to transcode 2/3 4K streams simultaneously. I am willing to go with a beefy cpu or a decent gpu, which ever is cost effective. My problem is that “benchmark” and hz mean nothing to me. Getting really confused with all these different models and variations. Just looking for model numbers for people who use it for multiple 4K transcoding. Google just reveals all these in-depth explain actions that leave me more confused then when I started. All the pc is used for is plex and some lite internet browsing
