If you're having issues with the joystick not going up or down or viceversa and want to repair it yourself here's a video. There are no parts available for sale as of right now for the portal so I guess we have to resort to fixing it ourselves. (Returning an item that is not available anywhere is not an option for me).

Many users have this issue and reported that this was a successful fix after doing it. I even tried it myself and it works! I fixed my brand new ps portal that came with defects on the joystick.
