I’ve been using various Bluetooth dongles plugged into the portal or plugged into the ps5, the issues I was running into was terrible battery life, ridiculous latency and small dongles plugged into the ps5 not having enough range to use throughout the house.

I thought I’d try this one from Avantree, I’ve had it for about a week now and I can use it throughout my house (Albeit not a huge house, 3 bedroom semi-detached), with minimal latency and don’t have to worry about battery as it’s plugged in behind the PS5 and you can’t see it.

It pairs to my AirPod pro 2’s automatically and the latency is barely noticeable, baring in mind the AirPods don’t have aptx so I could only imagine aptx Bluetooth headphones would work even better, watching cutscenes in games the lips are moving pretty much in time with the speech, which I wasn’t getting from dongles plugged directly into the portal.

If anyone else is finding themselves looking for a decent Bluetooth dongle, for me, this was the one.
