I think there are a few "ongoing" games that people can play without an actual playdate. An example would be Transformice, which is easy to pick up and stop at any time. Another one that I want to start is JK2: Jedi Outcast v1.02; specifically, I want to have people start saber duelling again.
How does this work? It's easy. All you have to do is look for me in the RPD Steam group chat and ask for a duel. There is a US East server called "Cole's Fight Club", which is the only pure duel server available. I'm hoping that eventually, we have enough players so that there are duels going on all the time.
What are duels? Duels are no-force 1v1 fights with lightsabers. A single duel will take around 2 minutes and up to about 5 minutes each. If you are defeated, the next person in the server fights the winner of the previous round and you go back to the waiting list. The first person to win then duels will win the game, then the scores reset. This game mode focuses on skill with a lightsaber; you can swing at your opponent, or do any of the 15 of special saber moves using three saber styles (light, medium, heavy).
If you don't know how to use a lightsaber, I can teach you nearly everything there is to learn!
